Födro 2, 3, 4-way Shunting Unit DBP
Födro 2-, 3- and 4-way Shunting Units are exclusively employed where streams of materials conveyed have to be distributed in pneumatic conveying systems. They allow for no-residue transport of the goods and stand out for their sturdy design and low maintenance. The shunting units mainly consist of the housing with two, three or four pipe unions and the slide plate. A tube or a flexible conduit connect the slide plate which is driven horizontally and vertically by rollers to the conduit.

When open, the hole in the slide plate lays open the sectional area of the pipe and ensures a free flow of the material to be conveyed. Inflatable O-seals mounted into the shunting housing remove the clearance between the housing and the slide plate. This guarantees pressure tightness for back pressures of up to 10 bar. It is essential, however, that the pressure inside the seal exceeds the pressure inside the shunting unit by 2 bar. Shunting can only be effected when the seal is not pressurized. Moreover, the piping has to pressureless, too.
